Event Programming - 1 Million Cups - St. Petersburg is the brainchild of the Kauffman Foundation.  It is a weekly event for local entrepreneurs to meet and present their startups to the thriving peer network of founders in St. Pete. The coffee is highly encouraged.

Education and Event Programming - The USF St. Petersburg Kate Tiedemann College of Business offers B.A., B.S., and Minor programs in both Entrepreneurship and Information Systems Management.  It is located only 10 minutes walking distance away from the core of downtown St. Petersburg.

In 2013, the Entrepreneurship Program at USFSP was named the Outstanding Emerging Entrepreneurship Program in the United States by the U.S. Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship.

Event Programming and Startup Resources - Tampa Bay Innovation Center is located in downtown St. Petersburg.  It creates successful entrepreneurs, fosters the creation of high-tech jobs, and develops new sources of technology and manufacturing capabilities by nurturing early stage ventures as they grow and launch their products into the marketplace. TBIC programs are tailored to the innovator/entrepreneur and address business intelligence, planning and business formation, strategy execution, and technology transition.

Event Programming and Startup ResourcesThe Greenhouse is comprised of an expert team from the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and the City of St. Petersburg, along with a wide network of over 20 community partner organizations.  The Greenhouse is St. Petersburg’s beginning point for providing new business owners and entrepreneurs with the basic education, resources and assistance necessary to thrive in the local economy.

Event Programming and Startup Resources - The Tampa Bay Caregiver Accelerator (TBCA) provides pre-incubation services for entrepreneurs with a caregiving focus in Tampa Bay, Florida.  TBCA is designed to develop caregiving advancements, improve healthcare delivery, and seed entrepreneurial opportunities to reinvest in future innovations.

The Tampa Bay Caregiver Accelerator was envisioned by a team invested in the caregiving and entrepreneur community.

Education - Eckerd College is located in the Skyway Marina District, approximately 15 minutes away from downtown St. Petersburg.

Developed by the Leadership Development Institute (LDI) at Eckerd College, the Entrepreneurial Mindset Profile (EMP) is an empirically-based, cutting-edge assessment tool based on extensive research into the traits, motivations and skills of entrepreneurs. Available in self-report and team report formats, the EMP can help leaders and individual contributors alike assess the degree to which their teams are utilizing an “entrepreneurial mindset.”

Education - St. Petersburg College is a college that offers associate degrees, 4 year degrees, and certificate programs.  It has multiple campus locations in St. Petersburg.

For entrepreneurship, SPC offers an Entrepreneurship Certificate, an Associate Degree in Business Administration with an Entrepreneurship Subplan, and a Bachelor Degree with an Entrepreneurship Specialization.  SPC also offers a host of certificates and degrees in technology related fields.
